VE Testing News:
Our group is operational with W5YI-VEC and we are administering tests.  If you are a prospective ham, or already a ham looking to upgrade your license, send an email to info at w5sfa.org for information or to schedule your test..

Repeater News:
The DG-ID (digital squelch ID) of the Bellville UHF repeater is now set to 00, so it will pass all traffic.  Make sure to set the DG-ID to 00 on your transceiver - see the  page for more info on how to change this.

The downtown Houston 146.96Mhz repeater has been moved to Cat Spring, and the club has terminated its presence in downtown Houston.  The repeater is currently in operation in Cat Spring at the 146.96- frequency, however it is in C4FM digital mode with DG-ID of 00 while we test IMRS linking our repeaters.  Range is currently limited due to antenna height.  Later this year the repeater will have a new home in Wallis, TX.

The Columbus repeater is now Digital C4FM only, in order to facilitate linking with Bellville through Wires-X.  Please note that you will not be able to use the repeater with FM analog!  The DG-ID on both Bellville UHF and Columbus VHF is 00.
