Repeater News:
We now have internet service at the Columbus repeater site, so efforts are underway to link the Bellville and Columbus repeaters again.  Remember, the Club's Bellville repeaters are configured so the UHF repeater is C4FM digital only, and the VHF repeater is FM Analog only.  However, the repeaters are interconnected so analog traffic on VHF will be heard on digital UHF, and vice-versa.  Please note that if you are using UHF C4FM digital, the DG-ID on your rig should be set to 00 for transmit and receive.

The Bellville repeater is now linked to Wires-X on the internet on a test basis.  Our Wires-X room number is 63655.  To access via the internet, you will need an FT2DR or FT3DR handheld, or an FTM-100DR or FTM-400DR radio operating as a Portable Digital Node, or PDN.  You will also need to register on the Yaesu Wires-X site, and install the Wires-X software on a Windows PC connected to the internet.  More details will be forthcoming at the February club meeting.  Refer to this document on the Yaesu web site for information on how to set up your radio as a PDN.

W5SFA Weekly VHF Net:

The Stephen F. Austin Radio Club weekly net meets every Tuesday at 7:00 PM on the Club's Bellville VHF repeater (analog FM) or the UHF repeater (C4FM digital).  See the REPEATERS link to the left for frequencies.  All licensed hams are welcome to participate.

We have a CW practice session, held immediately after the VHF net on 6m.  The frequency is 50.300Mhz.  Join us or just listen in!
